FAQ
How do I choose which anti snoring product is best for me?
Unlike many websites, we do not sell just one product and tell you that it is a miracle cure for snoring. We give you a choice of snoring solutions because we are all different and there are different reasons why we snore.
However, there are some simple tests you can do to point you in the right direction.
Nose Test – Press the side of one nostril to close it. Close your mouth and breathe in through your other nostril. If airflow feels restricted, try holding open this nostril (with the end of your little finger) and breathe again. If that feels a lot easier, try one of our nasal devices – dilators or clip or strips.
Tongue Test – Stick your tongue out as far as it will go and grip it between your teeth. Next, try to make a snoring noise. If the noise level is less than if your tongue were relaxed in your mouth, then you may be a tongue base snorer - try one of our mouthpieces or our new tongue stabilising device.
Mouth Breathing Test - Open your mouth and make a snoring noise. Now close your mouth and try to make the same noise. If you can only snore with your mouth open then you are probably a mouth breather. Try one of our chin straps to keep your mouth closed.
There are other causes of snoring – even multifactoral where more than one thing is the problem.
The above suggestions cover most of our products, but if you are looking for something less “mechanical”, try our snoring ring, lots of people swear by it.
Are your products comfortable?
Yes. The things that take more getting used to are the mouthpieces (mandibular advancement devices). But they do not cause any real pain or discomfort.
How long do your products last?
The nasal strips can only be used once – you get a months supply in each box. Everything else is washable and can be re-used many times. We have customers who are still using our products 2 years after buying them.
What if it doesn’t work?
Because the products go in your mouth or up your nose or are in contact with your hair/skin, we can not accept returns. We are sure you understand this - we would not send you products that had been returned to us. Our products are not expensive like some others, and with our advice, we hope you can find something that works for you
Are there any side effects?
None. Our products are manufactured from high quality food grade materials.
What if I have dentures/implants/crowns/bridges/caps?
Our mouthpieces are not recommended if you suffer from a severe respiratory disorder, temporomandibular disorder, loose teeth, advanced periodontal disease, dental implants/crowns/bridges/caps (within the last year), unhealthy teeth or gums or wear dentures.
What if I have sensitive gums/teeth?
If you have sensitive gums and teeth, gingivitis (chronic swollen or sore gums) or underlying medical or dental conditions that may make your gums and teeth more sensitive to contact, should consult with a physician and/or dentist before using a mouthpiece to determine whether or not the product is right for you.
What if I have obstructive sleep apnoea?
Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is a condition where the walls of the throat relax and narrow during sleep, interrupting normal breathing. During an episode, the lack of oxygen triggers your brain to pull you out of deep sleep – either to a lighter sleep or to wakefulness – so your airway reopens and you can breathe normally. If you suffer from sleep apnoea, before using any mouthpiece, consult with your doctor.
